Mexican private equity management company AINDA plans to raise $600 million for a new fund by the beginning of next year and launch projects in Colombia, December 20 reports Investing.
According to CEO Manuel Rodriguez, AINDA, which focuses on projects in the areas of environmental protection, social welfare and corporate governance, is looking to expand.
Activities in Colombia focus on cooperation with government infrastructure projects. AINDA has highlighted highway projects and renewable energy auctions as potentially interesting investment opportunities.
AINDA aims to open offices in Colombia by the second quarter of 2023.
“Colombia is a country with great potential. In recent months, we have strengthened the team with the arrival of our new co-president Juan Carlos Echeverri, former Colombian finance minister and director of the Ecopetrol oil company,” Rodriguez said.
